Simple Everyday Spells: Abundance, Protection, Meditation & Business

Watched this movie for the first time with my daughter the other day. It's one of my all time favorites!

It's been a while since I have posted here.. life is so busy with the breath of spring taunting us with the reminders of all we must clean and prepare. From here on out, there will rarely be a day we are not covered in soil and sweat!

But today, I woke with the intention of taking the time to share at least a few simple spells. The effectiveness of the spells depends on your need. Remember, in order to conduct a spell, you need the tools (your brain is enough!), the knowledge (your intuition!), and the need. The need means you must really be in NEED - you must really FEEL the emotion of the need. So, crying, laughing, filling with anger.... whatever helps you feel most connected to that need, feel it! THAT will ensure great results. Furthermore, please adjust any spell to your liking. Making it your own will make you more comfortable, which will also enhance the spell.

Simple Spells:

TO BRING ABUNDANCE~
Add as much fresh basil, parsley and alfalfa to a warm bath as you'd like. This is for clarity and balance. Also place petals from a red flower in the bath. Rose is best. This is for passion and determination. Light a red candle too, if you would like. Visualize abundance in your life... whatever that means to you. See it happen in your mind's eye. Know it to be true. Feel the emotion of what it is like to be true. Stay there as long as you would like.

PROTECTION FOR THE HOUSE~
With a red ribbon, tie a bunch of garlic to the corner by your front door. It will protect you and your loved ones from negative vibes that may enter your house. Visualize a protective light around the perimeter of your door. Never use that garlic for anything else.

MEDITATION SPELL~
Light 2 altar candles on any day of the week. Burn frankincense or sandalwood incense. To open your 3rd eye, continue by lighting 2 purple candles. In the middle of them, place a Lapis Lazuli Crystal that has been cleansed with lavender essential oil and consecrated in the incense. Visualize your 3rd eye opening. Start your meditation as usual.

SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS SPELL~
Light 2 blue altar candles just before the full moon or on the full moon, visualizing your business and what it needs. Burn 3 drops of essential oil in your oil burner. Light frankincense or sandalwood incense for focus. With your business in your mind's eye, light a tall green candle. (One you can burn each day of the week). Allow to burn for 30 min each day of the week for 7 days. Repeating all steps mentioned. Repeat this anytime things slow down, or when you feel your business needs a little push.

Blessed Be, and endless bright blessings to you all!

Spiritual Union - A Poem by Moonsway

The night rolls in
Like waves in the clouds
Sparkling out loud
With twinkling whispers
And peaks of silver linings
Only dusted by our thoughts.
Naked branches
As we lie at their roots
Swallowed in the comfort of their home
Undone from what we knew
Fading into the ground,
Our voices cry out
Singing with the night.
Our tongues are the flight of our dreams
And wind carries them through the night
To the land that is yet to be seen.
Shadows - they beckon us
Stepping onto the breeze
Swirling up with the leaves...
And we dance there
In the space in-between.
Your lips drip the dew
From the soft blades that grow below us
As we fall upon each other
Covered in earth
Drunk in her welcoming embrace.
And the creatures we call walk curiously toward us
As the birds begin to sing.
And the once silvery, glistened sky
Becomes brighter once more
From the fire that's inside...
And we shall never die.

The Season of Reflection and Introspection

It has been a while since my last post. Something about the holidays that sucks me right in.. and I mean that in the best way!

All of my free time went towards making gifts for friends for hunting for special treasures for our children, or filling orders for my body care business, Moonsway Organic Bodycare.

I was blessed with more business than I have ever had this holiday season and thank the gods and goddesses every day!

Also had the pleasure of having quality time with some close friends of mine that I do not normally get to spend too much time with.. mainly because they have jobs and I am a stay at home mommy. (Which, still... is very much a job!!! For the record.)

Then there were many times I have found myself in the kitchen nearly all day, music playing, candles lit, incense swirling and magick growing and twirling all around as my hours were spent conjuring up new products and remedies, completely enveloped in a spark of inspiration and creativity, wanting to ride it and make it last as long as possible. Pure. Magick.

December is always a magickal time for me. And each one that passes, I find myself diving deeper into myself and my spirituality.

It is a natural occurrence that I believe is inspired by the stillness of the season. It inspires reflection and introspection.. which fits right in with the new year and Yule!

There were a few times I found inspiration for a post, (which was not hard considering all the crafting I was doing! ) opened the laptop and started to type... but would often be pulled away or distracted by one of our children, or something would happen and I would walk away.. until I would have to put it off, and then day or so later when I had another moment to even think about my blog, I had pretty much lost all inspiration for the post. Lol

Not that I could not write one... that would have been easy.

It just pains me to sit down and write when my heart is not in it. I would rather wait until my passion arises again and start a new post! That is how quality writing is done, in my opinion anyway.

The feeling behind the words is what makes it a good read.

Over the holidays I made an "Annointing Ritual Oil" for a fellow witchy friend, "Blessing or Mojo Bags" for a few friends of mine, and have come up with a variety of new ways to replace even more commercially made products in our home by making them myself.  :) (among other things that I just can't remember right now)

All of which makes for perfect writing material, don't you agree?? Lol

The image I shared here in this post is one I came across just before the new year arrived, and I am so glad I did. It has simplified the very existence of which I yearn for, and I have referred back to it often as a reminder.

It tells me that it is OK that I spend more time with my kids than on my blog. It is OK that my free time is devoted to making things or doing magick for people I care about. It reminds me of my priorities and helps me to keep them straight.

I will eventually get around to posting all the recipes and remedies I created (and am continually concocting!), but I don't plan on stressing it.

May you all find yourself with less time staring at a screen and more time finding creative outlets to express yourself, playing with your children, or finding ways to be closer to nature.

That is my wish for you all this new year.

And, Namaste. :)
